Colliers International Group has fired the CEO of its Real Estate Services division Dylan Taylor for misconduct. He is alleged to have conducted improper trading activity in Colliers securities in breach of his employment obligations.

According to Colliers, Taylor has made certain allegations that he says are the basis for a potential constructive dismissal claim. Colliers says that while management and the Board of Directors of Colliers “have no reason to believe the validity of such claims” a special committee has been formed to oversee an independent review of the allegations.

Colliers has eliminated the position of CEO of Real Estate Services.

Chairman and CEO Jay Hennick will continue to oversee the strategy and operations of Colliers, with regional and business line leaders directly reporting to him. John Friedrichsen, Colliers’ long-time CFO, will also take on added operational responsibilities.

Dylan Taylor became CEO of Colliers Real Estate Services on Jan. 1, 2019. Prior to that he was president and COO of Colliers International Group. He joined the company in 2009 as CEO of the US business, climbing up the ladder to take on increasingly senior positions including CEO of the Americas and Global Chief Operating Officer.
