We’ve Made Some Strategic Changes

Take a closer look at this month’s cover: across the top of the page you will see that we are now calling this publication GlobeSt. Real Estate Forum.

GlobeSt.com, of course, is our online daily news service and you will often find content from that site in our pages and vice versa. But that is not the reason for the rebranding, which goes far beyond these two products. Indeed, perhaps it is a misnomer to call it a rebranding. A better word might be realigning.

ALM Real Estate Media has decided to unify our three main products—Real Estate Forum, GlobeSt.com and our RealShare events (now called GlobeSt. Events)—under one umbrella. We are tying the three products together to deliver a more comprehensive reader experience.

Going forward, the quality editorial content you see on the pages of Forum and GlobeSt.com will be augmented with content from our events. And, of course, likewise. When you attend a GlobeSt. Event, for instance, you may well be familiar with the speaker and his or her background—because they were already featured in GlobeSt. Real Estate Forum or on GlobeSt.com and you may even be up to speed on some of their views thanks to that coverage. Conversely, the wealth of information that event attendees pick up in the sessions will also make its way into the editorial content.

GlobeSt. Events is also expanding with many new offerings including three new conferences that address the changing face of real estate: our Global CRE Investor Forum, our Woman of Influence event, and ADAPT (which explores the rise of the Opportunity Zone to spur investment in reuse and other projects).

GlobeSt.com is also evolving, sharpening its focus on key market trends in multifamily, senior housing, healthcare, adaptive reuse, Opportunity Zones, omni-channel retail and net lease. We will be launching new newsletters to match that sharpened focus, and, to simplify things—and your inbox—we are also rolling up local city and market coverage into larger encompassing East and West regions. But rest assured, you will still receive the same great local coverage, but with just fewer emails.

The changes outlined will be reflected in GlobeSt. Real Estate Forum’s pages, while still maintaining our commitment to quality journalism and leveraging our decades-long experience in commercial real estate. Plus, we will be introducing new elements, such as expanding our Influencers series to include senior living, as one example, and covering more in depth the global flows of capital in CRE, as another.

We know that staying informed is critical to success, and the people behind the deals have always been and will continue to be the focus of the magazine. Rest assured, the content in the pages of GlobeSt. Real Estate Forum Magazine will continue to provide you with that critical information and analysis on which you rely.

This month we have our annual Women Of Influence issue, whose publication coincides with our Women Of Influence event being held in July. Read the stories of 200 plus women in these pages; their achievements are inspiring and—for us at least—humbling at the same time.
