Los Angeles is known forsprawling estates, but as the city shifts toward density,mansion-style living is taking on a new look. DeveloperAstéras is completing Astéras Kings, a new 25residence multifamily project in West Hollywood. The propertyfeatures minimalist design with high-end features akin to LosAngeles most prestigious single-family communities as well asservices and amenities.

“We wanted to take the idea of the Hollywood Hills-style ofliving into the multi-unit building setting, and we wanted to dothat by incorporating natural materials, minimal design and spacesthat blurred the indoors and the outdoors,” DemetriDarmos of Astéras, tells GlobeSt.com. “We have taken thebest elements of having a house up in the hills with the bestelements of multi-unit boutique living.”

The developer saw demand for high-end, mansion-style living andan absence of product in the rental market for this niche. “We feltthat there was really a void in the marketplace for a property likethis,” Peter Darmos of Astérastells GlobeSt.com. “Early on, we really didn’t see a lot of productout there that incorporated these features, but we really felt thatthere were a lot of opportunities in Los Angeles for thisproduct.”
