Meritage Hospitality Group Plans New Breakfast Concept

The firm intends to invest $70 million in the initial breakfast locations, with plans to open 35 restaurants by the end of 2025.

GRAND RAPIDS, MS–Meritage Hospitality Group is launching a new breakfast concept called Morning Belle with plans to open 35 restaurant locations by the end of 2025.

The breakfast chain will offer garden-themed, sit-down dining within the growing family-restaurant sector. The eateries will offer fresh juices, cocktails and breakfast foods including signature dishes such as glazed donut waffles, healthy options such as a garden grain bowl and traditional breakfast foods as well. Morning Belle will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The breakfast restaurant will open its first location in Grand Rapids, MI, on September 25, 2019.

The company is currently on track to build a record number of new restaurants in 2019 and 2020, throughout its 16 states of operation. The firm recently announced plans to build 40 new Wendy’s restaurants by 2024 under the new Groundbreaker Development Plan. It has also agreed to acquire 10 Wendy’s restaurants.

During the first three quarters of 2019, Meritage Hospitality Group confirmed an EBITDA growth of 31%, common stock cash dividends of $.18 per share, representing a 100% increase from last year. The company is planning for growth in sales and earnings in 2020, through developed, acquired and reimaged restaurants.
