155 West 23rd St.

NEW YORK CITY—Recently launched MC Real Estate Partners LLC and a private investor have purchased of 155 West 23rd Street from The Kaufman Organization and Goldman Sachs Asset Management Private Real Estate. The sellers originally acquired the 82,000, 12-story building in 2015 under a 99-year newly-formed ground lease.

The 84-year-old building is located in Chelsea and is fully occupied.

This is MCRE's first office acquisition since being formed earlier in the year by industry veterans Steve Grant and Andy Nathan. MCRE will handle leasing in-house and has tapped Kaufman to continue as property manager. The building is a long-term hold for MCRE, according to Grant.

Adam Spies, Kevin Donner & Michael Gembecki of Cushman & Wakefield brokered the sale of the property.

MC Real Estate Partners owns office properties in the New York, Boston, and Washington, DC metro areas. Prior to the launch of MC REal Estate, Nathan and Grant were with Tishman Speyer, Meritage Properties and ClearRock Properties.
