International Tech Firm Opens New Englewood Cliffs HQ

OwnBackup, which has secured nearly $50 million in funding—including a $23.25 million Series C raise earlier this year—has doubled its workforce every year since 2016.

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, NJ—One of New Jersey’s fastest growing tech companies OwnBackup has opened its new headquarters space at 940 Sylvan Ave. here.

The firm’s new 30,000-square-foot headquarters space will accommodate 160 workers. Englewood Cliffs Mayor Mario M. Kranjac and other local officials joined executives from OwnBackup on Sunday to celebrate the opening of its new headquarters.

OwnBackup, which has secured nearly $50 million in funding—including a $23.25 million Series C raise earlier this year—has doubled its workforce every year since 2016. The company’s recent expansion has made it the second fastest growing tech company in all of New Jersey, as part of Inc’s fastest-growing private companies list. In the coming months, the company states it will be hiring regional talent for various roles, including sales, marketing, customer support, product, technical support and administration. The firm is a leading provider of cloud data protection and business continuity.

In recent years, OwnBackup has emerged as the leading cloud data protection platform for the increasing number of businesses utilizing Salesforce for their customer-relationship management (CRM) services or other enterprise applications. Through its integration with Salesforce, OwnBackup helps more than 1,400 businesses worldwide protect critical cloud data as a Service (SaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) records to prevent data corruption/data loss, ensure business continuity, minimize operational disruptions and meet compliance mandates.

OwnBackup’s new 30,000-square-foot headquarters is designed with a collaborative open-office layout centered around a full auditorium for community events, including Salesforce User Groups. Elsewhere, the offices ample employee perks including: a gaming room with arcade and console games, spa-style lounge with massage chairs, ‘pub’ area with fully stocked beer taps, and full kitchen. The company also provides a free shuttle to-and-from Manhattan, offering a  20-minute ride for New York City commuters.
