NEW YORK CITY – The Moinian Group, a New York City-based real estate developer, has leased 22,000 square feet at 3 Columbus Circle in Midtown to the Agency of Performing Arts. The global talent agency is one of the largest in the performing arts industry with offices in Los Angeles, New York, Nashville, Atlanta, Toronto and London.

APA will vacate its offices at 135 West 50th St. in December, and will begin moving into the 26-story tower.

Savills represented APA, who will occupy the building’s 21st floor, and Jones Lang LaSalle represented The Moinian Group, who became the full owner of the property after it dished $266 million for Young & Rubicam’s six-story office condominium earlier this year.

“While we were close to coming to terms on space that needed to be built, we never stopped looking and uncovered a highly improved built option with spectacular Central Park views in a newly renovated building at a competitive rent.” said Executive Managing Director Scott Weiss in a prepared statement.

Anchoring the property is Young & Rubicam. Other tenants include Emerge212, Nordstrom and Jazz at Lincoln Center. The property offers views of central park and is in proximity to public transportation, parking and retail options.

“Savills was able to secure a financially sound deal on a space that needed little to no capital improvements, saving us additional real estate costs,” said APA President and CEO Jim Gosnell, in a prepared statement.
