Skanska Secures New Tenant for DC Office Building

Lewis BrisBois is entering the market with an 11,500 SF lease at Skanska’s 2112 Penn.

WASHINGTON DC – National law firm, Lewis Brisbois has secured an 11,500-square-foot lease at Skanska’s 2112 Penn in Washington DC’s central business district.

The firm will move its offices into the 11-story office building, located at 2112 Pennsylvania Avenue. The class-A property, designed by Gensler and developed by Skanska, boasts 240,000 square feet and is LEED Gold-certified. The building features amenities including a rooftop terrace with indoor and outdoor spaces, three levels of underground parking, a bike room and 10,000 square feet of retail space.

The building, near Washington Circle, is located five blocks from the White House and is in close proximity to the Foggy Bottom, Farragut West and Farragut North metro stations

Lewis Brisbois will join building tenants such as The Washington Institute for Business, Government and Society and Cleary Gottlieb.

Skanska was represented by Cushman & Wakefield in the transaction. Lewis Brisbois was represented by Avison Young’s Jonathan Larsen, Bruce McNair and Laura Peterson.

In efforts to developmentally invest in the Washington DC market, Skanska currently has various projects underway within the region, including 1800 Chain Bridge Road, a multi-family project in Tysons, VA; 1700M, a ground-up, mixed-use development in Washington, D.C.; and 3901 North Fairfax Drive a mixed-use development in Arlington, VA.
