OYO Hotels & Homes Appoints Betsy Atkins as Independent Director

OYO Hotels & Homes, a young hotel start-up, has appointed industry veteran Betsy Atkins, CEO and founder of Baja Corporation, to its board of directors as an independent member.

NEW YORK CITY – OYO Hotels & Homes, a young hotel start-up, has appointed industry veteran Betsy Atkins, CEO and founder of Baja Corporation, to its board of directors as an independent member. Atkins will provide guidance to the founder and management team on strategy and different aspects of the business.

Atkins brings her extensive corporate governance experience to the role, driving tech-enabled efficiencies in business operations as well as business economics. She is tasked to foster a company culture that promotes and nurtures ‘diversity and inclusion’, an area that she is passionate about.

Atkins has built 3 early-stage funds and made early seed investments in consumer and enterprise software companies at Baja Corporation. Prior to that, she co-founded enterprise software companies in multiple industries including energy, healthcare and networking. She is currently the chairman of the board at private company GlobalLogic, and serves as a board member for Wynn Resorts, SL Green Realty and Volvo.
