Greenland USA hasdelivered the fourth and final tower at Metropolis, a-6.3-acremixed-use property in Downtown Los Angeles with condos, for-leaseapartments, retail and a hotel. Thea is the final tower in theproject, standing at 56 stories with 685 units, 24/7 lobbyambassadors and a full suite of amenities. Following outboundrestrictions from China, Greenland is the among the very fewChinese developers with a project in Downtown Los Angeles.
Metropolis has been under construction for several years,delivering its first two towers in 2017 and 2018. "Five years agowe set out to redefine the Downtown Los Angeles skyline by creatingan inviting and thriving live-work-play community in the center ofLos Angeles," Winston Yan, generalmanager of Greenland USA, tells GlobeSt.com. "We are proud to havedelivered a world-class community that families and youngprofessionals as well as commercial tenants call home—a place thatis served by mass transit, award-winning cultural organizations,and a vibrant, walkable cityscape."
Originally a parking lot, Metropolis includes the 308-unit TowerI; the 514-unit Tower II; the 350-room boutique Hotel Indigo; and70,000 square feet of retail space, along with the now completeThea at Metropolis, which has a temporary certificate of occupancy.The center of the amenity package is a 67,500-square-foot outdoorSkypark.
