Storage Post Acquires Haledon Self Storage Facility
The new Storage Post Haledon Self Storage facility is located at 45 Kossuth St. and originally operated as a schoolhouse beginning in 1894, but was converted to a self-storage facility in 1994.
HALEDON, NJ—Atlanta-based Storage Post Self-Storage has acquired a three-story self-storage facility here that originally served as a schoolhouse for a century.
The new Storage Post Haledon Self Storage facility is located at 45 Kossuth St. and originally operated as a schoolhouse beginning in 1894, but was converted to a self-storage facility in 1994.
No financial terms of the transaction for the property that is located 14 miles from Manhattan were released. Storage Post states it plans to implement additional upgrades and improvements including a full-scale renovation that will modernize the Haledon store to the Class “A” quality of its existing property portfolio.
Storage Post’s COO Dylan Delaune says, “The company has been scouting New York and New Jersey locations that have high barriers to entry with pent-up demand for Self-Storage. This new Haledon facility is in a very dense residential micro-market.”
Jack Giannola, director of acquisitions for Storage Post, adds, the Haledon store “is just the latest of what we believe will be the successful expansion into this North Jersey market and region that will only complement our existing stores.”
According to its website, Storage Post also has facilities in Jersey City and Linden, NJ, in addition to a number of self-storage locations in New York City and Westchester County. The company states that it is currently looking for existing self-storage real estate opportunities nationwide.
The company also has locations in Miami, New Orleans and Baton Rouge.
