Avison Young Acquires BMS Realty Services LLC
The purchase of the DC-based, property management company expands Avison Young’s offerings within the area.
WASHINGTON DC – Avison Young has acquired Washington DC-based, BMS Realty Services LLC, in efforts to expand its property management offerings within the DC metropolitan area.
The property management company, BMS has been rebranded as Avison Young, effective immediately. Its 23 professionals have joined the company under its new name, and will continue to deliver property management solutions to new and existing clients. BMS founder, Larry McCulley has been appointed as EVP of real estate management services for the firm’s Washington DC office. Prior to establishing BMS, McCulley served as the director of property management at Jones Lang LaSalle.
Since 1999, BMS has offered integrated, commercial property services in operations, maintenance, accounting and financial reporting; aiming to optimize building performance and tenant satisfaction
At the time of purchase, BMS had 1.7 million square feet of institutional commercial properties under management.
The deal follows a series of 2019 acquisitions for Avison Young, including its purchase of Strategic Retail Group in October, McKinney Advisory Group Inc. in October, Germany-based, Völckers & Cie Immobilien GmbH Real Estate Advisors in July, U.K.-based, GVA in February, and Front Street Commercial Real Estate Group in January.
