WS Development Acquires Rhode Island Shopping Center for Reported Price of $181M

CRANSTON, RI—Chestnut Hill, MA-based real estate development firm WS Development has added the Garden City Center to its Northeast portfolio.

The firm’s new asset totals more than 530,000 square feet and includes such national tenants as Whole Foods, lululemon, L.L. Bean, Crate & Barrel, Pottery Barn, Sephora and Williams Sonoma.

The property at 100 Midway Road changed hands in a deal reportedly valued at $181 million, according to a report in the Boston Globe.

First opened in 1948, the property is centered between interstates 95 and 295, and is located 10 minutes from Providence and minutes from T.F. Green Airport.
