Brooklyn Bridge.

NEW YORK CITY- Brookfield Properties has leased 87,000 square feet to international energy company National Grid at 2 Hanson Place, Downtown Brooklyn. The 15-year lease includes the 11th and 12th floors of the 14-story Class A building and will include a buildout of modern flexible workspaces for the new tenant.  National Grid is set to move into the property later in the year.

“An investment in our workspace is an investment in our people,” said Shri Madhusudhan, vice president of National Grid Property Services, in a prepared statement. “The location is ideal with unparalleled access to transportation and all of the benefits that come with being in the heart of Downtown Brooklyn. We embarked on a wide search for a new office that would best serve our employees and visitors and reflect our direction and evolution as a clean energy company. 2 Hanson Place was chosen with overwhelming support by our search team.”
