NEW YORK CITY – Brookfield Properties and Park Tower Group have opened Two Blue Slip, a second multifamily tower, at Greenpoint Landing in Brooklyn. Leasing efforts are underway for the property that is situated on the East River waterfront in the Greenpoint submarket.

The joint venture including Park Tower Group and Brookfield is developing a total of 2,000 units across four development sites at Greenpoint Landing. In August 2018, the first building One Blue Slip opened, which features 359 units and is fully leased, along with 1.1-acres of public waterfront open space.

Two Blue Slip features 421 units, including 12 penthouse apartments with private outdoor spaces and river views. As a part of the Affordable New York program, 30 percent of the units are income-targeted and set to lease-up through the City of New York’s Housing Connect lottery system.

“It has been a real privilege to watch the growth of the neighborhood continue with both new apartments and additional waterfront esplanade access, strengthening Greenpoint Landing,” said Maria Masi, senior vice president multifamily development at Brookfield Properties.  “We are so thrilled to welcome new residents to the exceptional community in Greenpoint.”

Developer Park Tower Group is leading the development of Greenpoint Landing, which totals 22-acres. In 2005, the City of New York designated the site for residential use under the Greenpoint-Williamsburg rezoning. When development at Greenpoint landing is completed, it will include an estimated 5,500 residential units – approximately 1,400 of which are affordable housing – as well as a new pre-k through 8th-grade public school and four acres of public open space.

The next phase of development at Greenpoint Landing includes acres of additional public waterfront open space and three new towers, which are all under construction. One thirty-story tower is rising between One Blue Slip and ta new park, dubbed the Box Street Park. Also, immediately south of Newtown Barge Park, two new residential towers are rising.
