NEW YORK CITY- Madison International Realty, a New York-headquartered real estate private equity firm, has entered a partnership agreement with Principles of Responsible Investment, a United Nations-supported organization focused on environmental, social and governance considerations in financial investments.

The organization is made up of a global network of investors who factor in ESG principles into investment decisions and ownership policies. Those who sign up, do so as signatories and follow in step with the financial industry’s larger ESG initiatives to influence the framework around investment decisions.

“As the real estate industry strives to achieve greater sustainability, Madison’s philosophy involves working in tandem with owners and sponsors as an investment partner.  Becoming a signatory of PRI reinforces our commitment as responsible investors and our dedication to the sustainability goals of the industry,” said Ronald Dickerman, Madison International Realty founder and president, in a prepared statement.

PRI has six voluntary and aspirational set of investment principles that include actionable steps for incorporating ESG issues into investment practice. Investors have developed the principles, which have opened the doors to a global network of investment management executives and informed their capital deployment strategy.
