CIM Group Exec. Named Avison Young NJ Director of Real Estate Management Services

MORRISTOWN, NJ—Property management veteran Rick Zack has been named director of real estate management services for Avison Young New Jersey.
The new hire was announced by Jeffrey L. Heller, Avison Young, principal and managing director of New Jersey. Zack, who has more than 20 years of property management experience, most recently served as a regional VP with CIM Group, L.P. since 2018.
Previously, Zack spent almost 18 years with Advance Realty, where he oversaw the property management and construction operations of a portfolio with over 4 million square feet in New Jersey, Maryland and Virginia.
Zack’s property management experience spanned most major real estate asset classes that involved financial reporting proficiency that necessitated full knowledge of construction operations and project management practices, Avison Young states.

Zack holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kent State University as well as a Real Property Administrator (RPA) and Facilities Management Administrator (FMA) designation from Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI) International. He also holds designations from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), including Certified Property Manager (CPM), Accredited Commercial Manager (ACoM) and Accredited Residential Manager (ARM). Additionally, Zack holds memberships in both BOMA New Jersey and IREM New York.
