The New Jersey Center of Excellence totals nearly 800,000 square feet.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ—PTC Therapeutics Inc. has signed a long-term lease for 101,500 square feet of space at Thor Equities Group's New Jersey Center of Excellence complex here.

The firm's headquarters is located at 100 Corporate Court in South Plainfield, NJ.

"Thor Sciences has experienced unprecedented growth in the past few months and we are incredibly proud of our expanding platform," said chairman of Thor Equities, Joe Sitt. "We support PTC Therapeutics' mission and are committed to helping them, as well as the other tenants at the Center of Excellence, to attract talent and build their team by offering first rate research and development space."

The Center of Excellence campus totals nearly 800,000 square feet and caters to life science tenants with first-rate laboratory, research and development, and office buildings over 48 acres.

Thor Sciences recently acquired 95 Greene St. in Jersey City, the second research and development property for the New York City-based firm's growing life sciences division in the last nine months. With the addition of the eight story, 340,000-square-foot office property, Thor's life sciences platform exceeds 1 million square feet.

Thor states that it plans to reposition the Jersey City property to meet demand from tenants in the life sciences, pharmaceuticals, green tech, ag-tech, healthcare, and medical fields. Thor previously acquired research and development properties in the San Francisco Bay area and outside of Boston.

PTC Therapeutics is a science-driven, global biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery, development and commercialization of clinically differentiated medicines that provide benefits to patients with rare disorders.

Last month, the company announced a change in its leadership with the resignation of chief operating officer Marcio Souza, who will be leaving the company by April 25.
