AURORA, IL—International hearing care solutions firm Sonova has signed a new lease deal totaling nearly 64,000 square feet at 750 North Commons Drive here.

The firm, headquartered in Stäfa, Switzerland, will consolidate two existing locations in Illinois and another in Minnesota to 63,647 square feet at the 205,000-square-foot, two-building complex in Aurora. The deal was announced by Colliers International. Sven Sykes, Tom Volini and Brent Jacob of Colliers’ Chicago office represented Sonova in the deal.

Sonova also has a state-of-the-art manufacturing and operating facility less than one mile away at Meridian Business Campus in Aurora.

“As Sonova was evaluating its real estate portfolio and developing a strategic site selection plan, it made sense to find space that was near its existing operations and manufacturing hub while offering modern amenities that would benefit our employees,” said Sara Kubin, director of human resources for Sonova USA.

Stanton Road Capital purchased 750 North Commons Drive in an off-market deal in 2018. The firm is currently implementing a repositioning plan at the building that includes the roll-out of SRC’s tenant amenity concept “The Outpost,” which features a state-of-the-art fitness center, renovated lobby and updated tenant lounge with food and beverage options.

Francis Prock, Dave Florent and Brian Kling of Colliers | Chicago are the exclusive leasing agents for the property. 750 North Commons is now 85% leased.

Founded in 2013, the principals of SRC have acquired more than $6.0 billion of commercial real estate, including over 2.0 million square feet of office properties in the Chicagoland area. SRC currently owns and operates a commercial property portfolio in excess of 5.8 million square feet and is actively investing on behalf of its institutional, family office, and private capital partners. SRC targets opportunistic, value-add, and core-plus commercial properties located in Chicago, Southern California, Dallas, Salt Lake City and Kansas City.
