Land Advisors Organization has launched a healthcare services team in Phoenix. Laurie Sandau, Michael Brinkley and Michele Pino will lead the team, which will advise healthcare clients through all stages of the real estate process by using data and economic metrics, according to the firm.

"Our data-driven analytics provided valuable information related to population growth, community demographics, economic metrics, healthcare infrastructure and patient gaps which helped address their short and long-term growth plans," Brinkley, an advisor at the firm, tells GlobeSt.com. "We've had the opportunity to assist other clients seeking these services, but felt it was time to include medical office leasing and sales to provide a more comprehensive array of services, which is what Laurie Sandau specializes in."

The healthcare industry has been growing in Phoenix, but the recent pandemic has driven more demand. "Many communities were acutely aware of their growing needs well before the pandemic, which now adds an additional consideration. We knew we could provide a unique, needed service that would help communities, developers as well as healthcare providers and decided to formally form a group that is focused on offering these specialized services to the industry," adds Brinkley. "We're excited to be part of helping to expand healthcare services to communities across Arizona."

In addition, the pandemic will complicate the healthcare market and provider needs in looking for real estate. "Although we do not completely know the full impact that the virus will have on the broader community's needs, we can expect that it will complicate things and the public will be interested in seeing these issues addressed," Pino, an advisor at Land Advisors, tells GlobeSt.com. "Therefore, timing couldn't be more appropriate for us to offer our services and do our part to help communities throughout the state."

The pandemic aside, the healthcare sector has several demand drivers that could benefit from better data. "The healthcare sector has been positioned for strategic growth as a result of an aging population and a robust housing industry," adds Pino. "However, many in the healthcare sector may not know the type of data that we can provide in order to make informed decisions."
