CHICO, CA – Easterly Government Properties Inc. has purchased a Department of Veterans Affairs outpatient clinic in Chico, California.
The 51,647-square-foot clinic is part of the Northern California Health Care System and houses the largest state veteran population in the country.
Completed in mid-2019, the new, build-to-suit facility is designed to achieve a LEED healthcare Silver certification. The asset is located adjacent to the Chico Veterans Affairs Readjustment Counseling Service Center.
The space is leased to the Veterans Affairs for an initial, non-cancelable, 15-year lease term, through June 2034. The clinic offers a range of medical and ancillary services, such as primary care, audiology, laboratory services, metal health, nutrition, otolaryngology, a pharmacy, social work and women's health.
With the recent acquisition, Easterly Government Properties continues to purchase a pipeline of assets backed by the US Government.
