LOS ANGELES – CBRE Group Inc. has promoted Emma Giamartino toEVP of corporate development.

|

In the newly-appointed position, which will be in effect June 12020, Giamartino will be responsible for leading the company'smerger and acquisition activities, globally.

|

The appointment follows Jim Groch's announcement of his plans toleave the CBRE in June, after 35 years of service to thecompany.

|

Since joining CBRE in February 2018, Giamartino has led thecompany's Americas mergers and acquisitions team. She has led anumber of CBRE's acquisitions, including Telford Homes andFacilitySource. She has contributed to the company's corporatedevelopment team and additionally played an important role in thelaunch of CBRE's flexible workspace business, Hana, in late2018.

Giamartino holds extensive professional experience in investmentbanking and mergers and acquisitions. She previously served asVerizon Communications' director of corporate development, whereshe worked to execute M&A transactions and strategicinvestments. Prior to Verizon Communications, Giamartino served asa senior investment banker in Nomura's technology, media andtelecommunications group.

Giamartino received a Master of Business Administration fromColumbia Business School and a Bachelor of Engineering from DukeUniversity.
