LOS ANGELES-Residential leasing for the 31-story tower that’s part of Carmel Partners’ 11-acre Cumulus District here is scheduled to begin in June, while retail leasing is underway.

The development is situated in the rapidly changing neighborhood between Culver City and West Adams, adjacent to the Expo Line light rail stop at the intersection of Jefferson and La Cienega boulevards, and blocks from Amazon, Apple and Sony studios.

“From the start of this project, our goal was to build an urban locale rooted in community and the rich history of the neighborhood, yet designed with today’s modernity and conscious living in mind,” the developer said in a statement. “The launch of the Cumulus District comes at an exciting time as Culver City and West Adams go through a renaissance with the dramatic influx of some of the world’s fastest growing tech, media and entertainment companies.”

Move-in for the high-rise tower, which includes 300 apartments ranging from studios to penthouses, is slated for fall of this year. A seven-story mid-rise apartment building will add an additional 910 units to the project.

The project also includes 50,000 square feet of retail space along with a flagship Whole Foods Market. Residents will also have access to numerous clubhouses, co-working spaces, spas and outdoor pools, a sky deck and 24-hour fitness center, and a one-acre central park connecting the two apartment buildings.

“We believe that Cumulus brings more than just a place of residence to this perfectly situated neighborhood; it is poised to be a vibrant center for creativity, collaboration and innovation,” the developer added.

Located on the grounds of a former broadcasting site for radio giant Cumulus Media, the district will also have a recording studio on the property for use by residents and local partners, to preserve the neighborhood’s legacy of entertainment and media.
