Cushman & Wakefield to Lease BOA Tower in Boca Raton

The 109,497 square foot building currently houses such tenants as Bank of America, Waypoint Residential, Zen Office and Charles Schwab, among others.

BOCA RATON, FLJohn Criddle and Joseph Freitas of real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield were selected as the exclusive brokerage team to list Black Creek Group’s Bank of America Tower in Boca Raton, Florida, the firm said.

The tower, an eight-story Class A office building completed in 1969, is located in downtown Boca Raton, with access to major routes US Highway 1, Minzer Boulevard and Interstate 95.

The 109,497 square foot building currently houses such tenants as Bank of America, Waypoint Residential, Zen Office and Charles Schwab, among others.

The 1.6 acre site was renovated in 1997 and again in 2013, with updates to common areas, elevators and bathrooms all part of the project.

“Bank of America Tower is one ofthe most desirable office destinations in Boca Raton, offering tenants a true Class A experience in the heart of downtown at an incredible value,” Criddle said.

Black Creek is planning further improvements for the tower in 2020. The ownership group said it plans to renovate the main building lobby, upper-level corridors, elevator lobbies, restrooms and vacant office suites. The work is expected to be completed in 2021.

“Black Creek Group’s renovations will further enhance interest in the building  and establish Bank of America Tower as a premier office destination for years to come,” Freitas said.

Bank of America Tower was acquired by Dividend Capital Diversified Property Fund from Clarion Partners for $36 million in December of 2015. The former later changed its name to Black Creek DPF in 2017.

Black Creek Group had revenues of $8.8 billion across its core services in 2019, and employs over 53,000 people in 400 offices across 60 countries.
