Luxury Multifamily Property Embraces Virtual Leasing

Managing a steady flow of leasing activity, the Altman Cos. has implemented online offerings for potential renters of Altis Grand Central in Tampa, FL.

TAMPA, FL – The Altman Cos. has adapted a virtual model of operation at its residential community, Altis Grand Central in Tampa, FL.

Converting the luxury apartment building’s steady renting activity into virtual leases, the company is providing potential renters with online navigational tools to experience the property’s interiors, amenities and downtown lifestyle from their computer; replacing in-person tours with virtual videos and 360-degree images.

Updating its business model to prioritize clients’ health and safety in light of the pandemic, the Altman Cos. has implemented staff health questionnaires, required masks for associates and appointment-only tours, while practicing strict social distance guidelines. Further precautions include sanitizing every apartment home after each in-person and sealing doors with a hygiene sticker.

“We quickly pivoted to a model that would keep our associates, residents and prospective-residents protected, yet give potential renters the ability to experience a comprehensive on-site tour. With phase 1 re-opening, our team is taking extra precautions at Altís Grand Central to assist safely with in-person tours,” says Joel Altman, chairman of the Altman Cos.

Maintaining a steady flow of interest from renters, the company reports that the 314-unit property has had more than 500 leads since the business shutdown order through May 31; resulting in 115 virtual tours. During this time period, 35 people moved into the community and 58 new leases were signed.

Altis Grand Central offers class-A amenities, including a rooftop skydeck with saltwater pool, a spa, fireplaces, lounge area and panoramic views. The property additionally offers a clubroom featuring a gaming area, movie theater, pool table and bowling lounge, as well as a 24-7 dog park on the 10th floor rooftop deck.

Located at 504 W. Grand Central Ave. in the city’s Grand Central District, the nine-story tower is situated south of the University of Tampa and north of Tampa General Hospital.

Since 2017, the Altman Cos. has opened three new residential communities in South Florida and five residential communities in Central Florida. The company has developed, constructed, acquired and managed more than 26,000 multifamily homes in the US since its inception in 1968.
