The global insurance company will additionally consolidate its remaining footprint within the area by occupying two new office spaces.

NEW YORK CITY – American International Group Inc. is set to relocate its global headquarters in New York City. The company will move its headquarters from the Financial District to occupy eight floors and 325,000 square feet at 1271 Ave. of the Americas within Rockefeller Center in Midtown.

In addition, AIG is consolidating its remaining New York City area footprint into 450,000 square feet. The space will be divided between two new locations at 28 Liberty St. in Lower Manhattan and 30 Hudson St. along the waterfront in Jersey City, NJ.

The global insurance company will move into each of the three new, class A office buildings in 2021.
