JERICHO, NY—Food retailer Nathan's Famous has partnered with REEFTechnologies, a provider of neighborhood kitchen and logisticshubs, to expand in Manhattan and ultimately REEF is a national network of 70 plusneighborhood kitchens across 18 cities that allows foodentrepreneurs, local restaurants, and national restaurant brands torun delivery businesses.

According to James Walker, SVP ofRestaurants with Nathan's Famous, the company will first expand itsreach in its home city of Manhattan and then look at future marketsin Miami, Los Angeles, Portland and Minneapolis in the comingmonths.

While restaurants, especiallythose that focus on indoor dining, continue to struggle during thepandemic, nimble operations such as take-out and delivery are doingwell and investment is flowing into thesetechnologies.
