Duke Pompano Beach Industrial Property 100% Leased With Addition of Logistics Tenant

A major transportation and logistics company took the remaining 40,551 square feet.

POMPANO BEACH, FL — Duke Realty’s new Pompano Beach distribution facility is now fully leased after a major transportation and logistics company took the remaining 40,551 square feet.

Duke Realty, a publicly traded real estate investment trust based in Indianapolis, built the distribution facility on a 5-acre lot on the north side of West Copand Road and a short drive east of North Powerline Road. The address is 1731 W. Copans Road.

The name of the new tenants and lease rate weren’t made public.

The only other tenant that already leased space at the 100,661-square-foot building earlier this year is Lehman Pipe and Plumbing Supply Inc.

The building is half a mile west of the Interstate 95 on and off ramps at Copans Road. The building has 32-foot clearing heights, 25 dock doors, two drive-in doors, 75 parking spots and a 110-foot trailer court.

Duke is a prolific South Florida industrial developer with an 8 million-square-foot portfolio across the region. Its Copans Business Park distribution facility is just east of the recently fully leased building.

“We are thrilled to welcome these two tenants to our newest building in Broward County,” Stephanie Rodriguez, Duke vice president of leasing and development, said in prepared remarks.

Rodriguez represented Duke in the lease deal.

Cushman & Wakefield South Florida Industrial Team executive directors Rick Etner Jr. and Chris Metzger in Boca Raton as well as Christopher Thomson in West Palm Beach, director Matthew McAllister in Boca Raton, and senior director Jacob Horsley in Jacksonville office secured the lease on behalf of the new tenant.

Etner praised the building for its central location.

“1731 W. Copans Road is another top-of-the-line facility from Duke Realty,” he said, “providing excellent connectivity to I-95 and Florida’s Turnpike.”
