2020 CREW Network Convention Now Safely Accessible, Moves Virtual

2020 CREW Network Convention will host its virtual event on September 15-17, 2020. The association recently revealed that participants will be able to connect to find deals and meet potential business partners through 15 live networking opportunities.

The CREW Convention brings together commercial real estate leaders for deal making, business networking, industry education and leadership development. If you are looking to expand your network and gain knowledge and insight from industry leaders and business strategists, this event is for you.

“A virtual event will make our best-in-class CREW Network Convention experience safely accessible to everyone,” says 2020 CREW Network President Christine Gorham. She tells GlobeSt.com that “All of the learning and networking is right at your fingertips.”

In a virtual format, she continues, participants can access 50-plus industry, leadership development and networking sessions with takeaways, tips and insight to thrive in today’s changing business climate—and all of the content will be available to registrants for at least 30 days following the convention.

On the speaker front, Diane Keaton is the marquee keynote this year and will speak about being a woman in the entertainment industry, her experiences on the global stage and navigating barriers throughout her 45-plus year career. She is going to answer questions live at the event as well.

Another breakout session, titled “Industrial Innovation—Keeping up with On-Demand” Bethany Clark of Cushman & Wakefield and Mindy Lissner of CBRE will talk about the on-demand lifestyle that is here to stay which now includes our food. Farm to fridge, dark kitchens and micro-fulfillment centers have sprung up. The session will also cover what you need to know to help your clients meet the needs that the on-demand lifestyle has created.

Another session, featuring speakers Brad Griewe of Fifth Wall and Kevin Shtofman of NavigatorCRE, focuses on how venture capital companies are evaluating opportunities, what’s working, what’s not and what’s on the horizon and more.

James Carras of Harvard University will also join an interactive session to talk about affordable housing deals using Opportunity Zone equity funding, low income housing tax credit (LIHTC), and local and state financing tools will also be discussed.

And another roundtable discussion on office flexibility and design will discuss how co-working has influenced the perception of office space and how to adapt, how to optimize human connection and drive innovation and more.
