Post Acute Medical to Develop Florida Inpatient Rehab Hospital

The Jupiter, FL 42-bed project represents more than $25 million in capital investment within the area.

JUPITER, FL – Post Acute Medical LLC plans to construct a 50,000-square-foot, 42-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Jupiter, FL.

The state-of-the-art, two-story hospital is intended to serve the greater Palm Beach and Martin County areas.

The project represents more than $25 million in capital investment within Jupiter and the surrounding communities.

The new hospital’s physician-led team of rehabilitation experts will aim to increase patient strength and endurance, and improve quality of life for patients who have experienced stroke, brain injury, neurological disease and deficits, amputations, pulmonary disease, orthopedic conditions, spinal cord injury and medically complex conditions.

The project is expected to create 160 construction jobs. Once fully-operational, the new hospital will support more than 125 permanent jobs.

Post Acute Medical is collaborating with Rendina Healthcare Real Estate and Astrea Development to develop the hospital.

“PAM is excited to bring comprehensive care for rehabilitation patients with complex conditions to the Jupiter community,” comments Anthony Misitano, Post Acute Medical chairman and CEO. “Throughout the communities we serve, we put the patient first and provide comprehensive, individualized treatment that fosters meaningful improvement and recovery for people with injuries, illnesses and disabilities.”

The project serves as Post Acute Medical’s second hospital within Florida. The Pennsylvania-based, healthcare services company currently operates the long-term acute care hospital, PAM Specialty Hospital of Sarasota, which serves critically-ill patients with complex medical conditions.

Post Acute Medical currently provides healthcare services to more than 40 acute care hospitals and medical rehabilitation hospitals, as well as 18 outpatient physical therapy locations, throughout 12 states.

Astrea Development’s projects throughout the US include 75 inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, which average 50 beds and 55,000 square feet. Rendina Healthcare Real Estate’s solutions have contributed to the development of more than 7.8 million square feet and nearly $2 billion in transaction financing.
