Alliant Capital has hired Drew Foster as SVP of investor relations. In the role, Foster will help to fuel growth and expansion plans for the company, including growing company's investor base. He joins the firm from Red Stone Equity Partners.

"I have known a lot about Alliant over the years, and they are one of the pioneers in the syndication world and they have had a significant amount of stress in structuring complex transactions," Foster tells GlobeSt.com. "I was very excited about the opportunity to leverage my experience on the acquisition side, in asset management and in the investor relation's space as well with a team that was clearly looking to expand. This is something that I am really excited to do and it is the perfect next step for me."

Alliant has completed acquisition, capital raise and syndication of more than $1 billion in tax credit investments, but it is continuing to grow. "My top goal is to expand and grow our investor base," says Foster. "That is crucial in order to be able to succeed and grow as an organization. We have an incredible existing investor base that I think we will have some opportunity to grow from within, and there are players that we have not had an opportunity to work with yet. I have some real targets that I am going to be pursing over the next coming months and years to ensure that we can bring in best capital to support our team and originators throughout the country."

We have been doing a great job of that. We want to be a valuable resource and partner, and not just take a deal," Benoit tells GlobeSt.com.

Benoit adds that Foster's appointment supports the firm's goals and focus on client relationships. "For us, it is about expand and create new relationships as well as deepen existing relationships," Benoit says. "As Drew mentioned, we have relationships where we have an opportunity to make relationships stronger and more formidable. We also want to improve the platform internally and externally. We are also looking into new technologies that increases transparency and collaboration internally. On the external piece, we want to be the best partner that we can be for our clients, and that means providing reporting and information in a timely manner."
