Nadel Architecture + Planning Expands Into Phoenix

Nadel Architecture + Planning has expanded into the Phoenix market. The firm has opened a new office in Phoenix, focusing heavily on retail design and development. With offices in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, the firm said that expanding into Phoenix was a natural next step. However, the Phoenix market is well positioned for growth, particularly in the retail sector.

“Phoenix is a secondary market that has shown great promise,” Greg Lyon, chairman and principal of Nadel Architecture + Planning, tells GlobeSt.com. “Even though we are still in the midst of the pandemic, there are cranes in the sky and development is underway in this market. The quality of life, warm weather, and home affordability as compared to the pricier coastal markets are all driving companies and people to Phoenix, which positions it for a strong recovery once the pandemic subsides.”

Prior to the pandemic, Phoenix was in a growth phase with significant population and job growth. The dynamics of the pandemic have only served to drive more growth in the city. “As a company with deep expertise in identifying emerging trends, Nadel sees great opportunity ahead in the Phoenix market, which is why we knew that now was the right time for us to launch this new branch of our firm,” says Lyon. “We have a long history of recognizing these opportunities and trends well in advance of the market, so we are confident that we are at the beginning of a growth cycle for Phoenix as the market readies for a post-pandemic world.”

Nadel has tapped Rick Redpath to lead the new firm. He has worked with Nadel in the past, and brings 30 years of experience to the position. “With his nearly 30 years of experience in the retail sector, thorough knowledge of the Phoenix market, and keen business acumen, Rick is the ideal choice to head up this new office as we head into 2021,” says Lyon. “He will help us expand our services to a wider spectrum of clients throughout the Southwest and strengthen the foundation of Nadel as a firm going forward.”
