Seritage Growth Properties Names CEO and President

NEW YORK – Seritage Growth Properties has appointed Andrea Olshan to CEO and president of the company. Olshan will additionally join the firm’s board of trustees.

Olshan will assume the roles effective on or before March 16, 2021.

Olshan currently serves as CEO of the private real estate company, Olshan Properties, which develops and manages a 23-million-square-foot portfolio of retail and mixed-use properties throughout the US.

Upon assuming her new positions, Olshan will transition to chairman of Olshan Properties’ board of directors.

“Andrea is an exceptional executive who has all of the skills and experience that make her an ideal choice as the next leader of Seritage,” states Seritage board of trustees chairman, Edward S. Lampert. “Building on her successful tenure as CEO of Olshan Properties, Andrea has a proven track record of successfully leading an organization with over 1,000 employees across the country. As Seritage expands its development activities across asset classes, we will benefit tremendously from Andrea’s vast expertise developing retail, office, hospitality and mixed-use projects for Olshan Properties.”

Olshan has served as Olshan Properties’ CEO since 2012. She has been responsible for the firm’s strategic direction, operations, investment activity and capital partnerships.

Previously, Olshan served on the board of Morgans Hotel Group from 2013 to 2016. She graduated magna cum laude from Harvard and she received her MBA from Columbia Business School.

She is a currently trustee of the Horace Mann School and a vice chair of the 92Y’s board of directors.
