Colliers Expands Southeast Capital Markets Practice

The firm has hired two industry veterans to facilitate industrial and office investment sale and capital transactions from Atlanta, GA and Orlando, FL.

ORLANDO, FL – Colliers has hired two veteran investment brokers, Jeff Morris and Bret Felberg, in effort to expand its capital markets capabilities.

Morris joins the firm as executive managing director of capital markets, based out of Atlanta, GA, and Felberg joins as managing director of capital markets.

Within their new roles, the two professionals will facilitate industrial and office investments sale and capital transactions. They will focus on Colliers’ capital markets practice in the Southeast, and all matters related sales and debt and equity placement for existing properties and new construction.

Morris and Felberg will work alongside the firm’s industrial platform, which comprises more than 90 leasing and investment professionals and more than 300 million square feet of managed properties.

Morris joins Colliers from JLL where he most recently served as a senior managing director. Throughout his 33-year industry career, Morris has been involved in more $20 billion in transactions, spanning all commercial real estate asset sectors throughout the US.

Previously, Morris has represented clients including TIAA-CREF (now Nuveen), Invesco, JP Morgan, Clarion, Equity Residential, Prudential, Goldman Sachs, Blackrock, MetLife, Morgan Stanley, Starwood, LaSalle and Wells Fargo.

“The opportunity to work with the industrial practice that Colliers has was a big attraction for Bret and me,” states Morris. “We’ve worked with all product types, but this focus on industrial and tapping into that growth potential on the capital markets side is something we’re really looking forward to.”

Felberg joins Colliers from JLL capital markets, where he recently served as a senior director. Felberg previously worked at Colliers from 2012 to 2014 as an investment sales broker.

Felberg’s prior clients include McDonald Development, Whitley Capital, MLG, Harrod Properties, Starwood and Parkway Properties.
