Celebrating Women Brokers in Debt & Equity Finance

With record breaking submissions, GlobeSt.com and GlobeSt. Real Estate Forum are pleased to announce the top 2021 Woman of Influence professionals of the year in the category of Brokers-Debt and Equity Finance.

In preparation for our Women of Influence special feature and retreat, GlobeSt. Real Estate Forum and GlobeSt.com together is putting a spotlight on the achievements of women in commercial real estate.

This year, we collected nominations across a number of fields, and will celebrate the winners at our GlobeSt.ELITE Women of Influence Conference in Park City, UT. This year’s amount of entries was our biggest yet.

This particular category was open to female brokers whose primary function is to source and originate debt and equity capital on behalf of borrowers within commercial real estate. The women chosen in this category aren’t necessarily the most active or prolific dealmakers in the field. More importantly, we were seeking professionals who have shown dexterity and creativity, and have consistently met borrowers’ needs despite market fluctuations and uncertainty. These financing brokers have well-developed relationships with the industry’s major sources of capital, and a distinct reputation as someone with experience, integrity, a strong financial skill set and commitment to excellence.

The top women in the category of broker-intermediary—debt & equity finance chosen this year are as follows:

Lisa Beeson, The CenterCap Group LLC

Liz Diamond, Berkadia

Donna Falzarano, CBRE

Nancy Ferrell, NorthMarq

Gemma Geldmacher, Berkadia

Laura Gonzales, Franklin Street

Cindy Hannon, Bellwether Enterprise

Susan L. Hill, JLL

Paige Serden, Gantry

Alison Williams, Walker & Dunlop

As always, our seasoned editorial team was seeking the best of the best across the commercial real estate spectrum. In evaluating the entries, we took into account a number of factors, including: the nominee’s impact on, and reputation within, her firm and broader professional community; the nominee’s professional career highlights, from dealmaking savvy and innovation to client satisfaction and personal growth; a proven ability to achieve goals and display ingenuity in terms of creative thinking and problem solving; her dedication to furthering the development of her field and the role of women within it; accomplishments and involvement in her company, the CRE industry and broader social community;  a personal commitment to the highest ethical standards, service and excellence; and so much more.

The Annual GlobeSt. Women of Influence Conference celebrates the women who drive the commercial real estate industry forward. These influential leaders will discuss the critical issues facing CRE now and in the future, what it means to be a woman in business today and CRE’s place in the #MeToo era. They will discuss what they are doing to promote diversity in the upper levels of management and what the industry can do to position itself for a more inclusive future.

Keep checking GlobeSt.com for more winners from other categories and be sure to keep an eye out for the July/August issue of GlobeSt. Real Estate Forum, which will further highlight these individual’s accomplishments.
