Savills has hired Michael Fisher and Robert Teachey to oversee business development, transaction management and tenant representation.

TAMPA, FL – Savills has hired the team of Michael Fisher and Robert Teachey to serve as senior managing director and corporate managing director, respectively, within its Tampa office.

In their new roles, Fisher and Teachey will be responsible for business development, transaction management and representing tenants across various industries. They will report to Savills’ Tampa market leader, Mike Griffin.

The two professionals hold more than 25 years of combined industry experience. Together, they have completed 500 transactions, totaling more than 10 million square feet and $200 million in volume.

Fisher and Teachey both join Savills from CBRE.

Prior to joining Savills, Fisher worked with CBRE’s occupier services / corporate services for more than two decades, where he completed more than 400 transactions, totaling more than eight million square feet with various clients. Previously, Teachey worked at CBRE for five years, after spending 14 years in the commercial office furniture industry, focusing on workplace strategy. Teachey served as the top sales representative in Florida for the office furniture company, Herman Miller, from 2008 to 2012.

The team was also previously recognized with NAIOP Tampa Bay’s best office deal of the year award for their work in representing Baker McKenzie Law at Truist Place in 2019.

“As occupier services professionals, it’s paramount we recognize that navigating the post-COVID office environment is more personal for our clients today as ever before,” states Fisher. “We submit they’ll need a combination of understanding industry best-practices, while engaging the right Savills integrated-services team to assist them. This will ensure our clients are able to map out their best space utilization decisions that continuously align with their specific long-term operational needs.”

“One hundred percent of our focus is on occupiers, which allows us to better service our clients in the current landscape,” states Teachey. “Whether you’re looking to expand, explore a hybrid office model or establish best practices across multiple locations, we’ll help put your people in the place where they’ll prosper the most.”

The new additions further expand Savills’ North America employee base and coincide with additional recent new hires for the firm. The company now has more than 900 employees across more than 35 offices in the US and Canada.

“After assuming the role as market leader, we have worked diligently to expand our capabilities and expertise in the greater Tampa Bay region to deliver productivity and profitability for our clients,” says Griffin. “We are thrilled to welcome the occupier-focused, creativity and leadership that Mike and Robert bring to the table as we enter a post-pandemic world.”
