RealPage has partnered with Airbnb to launch an apartment home sharing app called Migo.

Migo is designed to make it easier for residents and apartment owners to share their space on Airbnb and benefit from home sharing.

Migo directly connects to the demographic and user base that lives in apartments and wants to home share, Todd Butler, vice president at Migo tells GlobeSt.com.

The platform allows residents to recoup a portion of their monthly rent depending upon how frequently they home share exclusively on Airbnb. At the same time, apartment landlords can differentiate their apartment offerings and share the financial benefits of home-sharing with their residents.

Migo technology provides a range of services—from access control and screening to noise monitors and cleaning—as well as self-service and full-service home-sharing options. With the self-service option, residents and owners can list their apartments or guest suites on Airbnb and self-manage all aspects of their Airbnb listing.

Under the full-service option, the Migo team manages all aspects of the Airbnb listing, including helping the resident to create the Airbnb listing, guiding the resident to make sure they have the correct permits, assembling and publishing the Airbnb listing, communicating with the guests before and during their stay, granting guest access to the building and resident doors and scheduling cleanings.

Residents can use the Migo app to link their Airbnb listing to their community, grant remote access to guests, schedule room cleanings, communicate with Migo support and monitor their home sharing performance, among other things. In addition, the technology allows apartment owners to gain insights into home sharing activity. RealPage’s AI Revenue Management system will adjust base rents based on demand for this service.

Migo, available industry-wide in the third quarter of 2021, will be compatible with RealPage, Entrata, Yardi and MRI.
