GlobeSt. NET LEASE Conference Returns In Person This Week

More than 200 dealmakers and industry executives are expected to attend the first national in-person conference dedicated to the Net Lease space since Covid emerged.

The GlobeSt.com NET LEASE Conference will return to New York this week, with attendees and speakers gathering in person to discuss and dissect what is happening in this dynamic piece of the commercial real estate market. With registration and breakfast opening at 8 am on June 17, the conference will be held at the New York Marriott Marquis. However, festivities will kick off the day before at a 6 pm cocktail networking reception, which is being sponsored by W.P. Carey and being held at the St. Cloud Rooftop at The Knickerbocker at 42nd and Broadway.

More than 200 dealmakers and industry executives are expected to attend the first national in-person conference dedicated to the Net Lease space since Covid emerged. “I remain blown away by this community’s resilience and commitment to support and engage with the GlobeSt. NET LEASE information and networking platform from the two virtual events held in 2020 to our return to in-person conferences,” says Scott Thompson, vice president and global events director.

The following morning the conference will begin at the Marriott Marquis, with attendees adhering to the Covid-19 safety guidelines established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and local health authorities. The keynote will be delivered by Revathi Greenwood, global head of Data and Insights at Cushman and Wakefield, who will discuss the post-pandemic realities of the robust and highly competitive market.

With an unparalleled speaking faculty, this year’s conference will tackle some of the most hard hitting trends within this transformative industry, from the surprising role of sale-leasebacks in economic recovery, to the explosive growth in new asset classes. This event is the ideal platform to hear from top industry experts, explore macro and micro trends, listen to updates on net lease development, and examine case studies in successful transactions across the net lease sector.

After the keynote there will be a number of panels throughout the day covering a range of topics, including a discussion on the state of the industry, a look at net lease REITs and how they are reinventing themselves in this new era, a capital markets deep dive and a talk on what is happening in the sale leaseback market. In between these panels, attendees will have ample networking opportunities with planned breaks.

The latter part of the day will be devoted to a conversation with developers in a fireside chat and a final panel that will discuss the emerging players in the net lease industry and the sector’s new growth opportunities.

“We are beyond excited to connect the net lease community for a full day of spirited discussion and long overdue contact with both familiar faces and potential clients, ”Thompson concludes.
