CBRE Appoints South Florida Managing Director

Industry veteran Susan Bands joins the firm from Marcus & Millichap to support its advisory business within the region.

MIAMI, FL – CBRE has appointed industry veteran Susan Bands to managing director of the firm’s advisory business for the South Florida region.

Within her new role, Bands will support CBRE’s day-to-day business operations, sales management, business development growth strategies and recruiting activities, across all business segments for the firm’s four South Florida-area offices. She will work alongside South Florida senior managing director Josh Bank and Fort Lauderdale managing director David Bateman.

Bands joins the firm from Marcus & Millichap, where she worked for 18 years. She most recently served as the firm’s regional manager for its Manhattan, NY, Westchester, NY and New Haven, CT offices, for which she was responsible for leading business operations. Bands additionally launched Marcus & Millichap’s internal women’s network, newsletter and mentorship program.

For her new role, Bands has relocated from New York to South Florida.

Prior to Marcus & Millichap, Bands served as director of sales and marketing for Forest City Ratner Companies’ New York hotel developments. She additionally worked as associate managing director of investment sales at Grubb & Ellis.
