Brookfield Properties’ 660 Fifth Ave. Secures New Lease

Firm doubles office footprint with over 25,000 square feet of space

400 Capital Management has signed a lease for Brookfield Properties office tower at 660 Fifth Ave. in Midtown Manhattan. The firm will occupy 25,572 square feet on the 27th floor beginning August 2024. In relocating from its current office in Midtown, 400 Capital Management will more than double the size of its office footprint.

The lease announcement comes as Brookfield Properties nears completion of a $400 million redevelopment of the building. The redesigned tower features a new lobby, elevators, state-of-the-art mechanical systems, upgraded infrastructure, and a façade reclad in 11×19 foot single-pane glass units.

In May 2022, financial service firm Macquarie Group signed a lease as the building’s anchor tenant for 221,754 square feet across six floors of the tower.

A 39-story tower, 660 Fifth Avenue was originally built in 1957. Brookfield Properties acquired the building in 2018 and commenced redevelopment in 2019 under the design of architecture firm Kohn Pedersen Fox. 660 Fifth Avenue is located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan between 52nd and 53rd Streets.
