The apartment sector has experienced some headwinds in terms of rent and cap rates of late, two indicators that the industry closely watches. But with apartment earnings for the third quarter kicking off this week, there are some other financial metrics that should be monitored as well at the company level, according to Mizuho Americas research analysts Haendel St. Juste and Barry Luo.
