Proptech Companies RentRedi and BiggerPockets Partner on Training

Investors can learn to manage their portfolios and get software to do so.

Proptech companies RentRedi and BiggerPockets announced a partnership to help investors manage properties. Users will get training and also access to property management software.

RentRedi provides the software, which is a mobile landlord app providing a number of features, including rental property accounting, rent collection, tenant screening, applications, property marketing and listing, lease e-signing, and renters insurance. The company claims to be used by 15,000 landlords to manage more than 100,000 units, for an average of just under seven units per landlord, at a combined value of more than $10 billion. Users pay between $9 and about $20 a month, depending on the commitment the person makes.

BiggerPockets is a system for teaching investment strategies, analyze properties, connect with investor-friendly agents, and more. Supposedly more than two million people use it. There are articles, videos, and guides. BiggerPockets also provides calculators for rental properties, rehab estimators, and running an Airbnb location.

“The BiggerPockets Pro membership offers investors access to a dynamic toolkit as a one-stop-shop for investors to start, scale, and manage their properties,” the press release from the companies says. “That Pro package now includes a property management software offer, thanks to RentRedi. With this partnership, investors and landlords can manage their real estate investment properties from wherever, whenever—all as a BiggerPockets Pro member.”

RentRedi already partners with a number of other companies—TransUnion, REI Hub, Sure, Realtor.com, TSYS, Zillow, and Latchel—to deliver certain features and capabilities, including accounting; credit, criminal, and eviction reports; renter insurance; rental listings; payment processing; and maintenance coordination.

BiggerPockets also partners with a list of recommended vendors: real estate agents, conventional lenders, hard money lenders, insurance, home improvement services, capital partners, and real estate partners. The company also offers outlets for real estate listings, foreclosure identification, and off-market deals.

BiggerPockets Pro members can access the software by clicking the link on their Pro dashboard.
