Colliers Hires Florida Retail Investment Sales Team
The three Orlando-based brokers join the firm from JLL, where they handled $750 million in transaction volume since January 2021.
ORLANDO, FL – Colliers has hired a retail investment sales team, based in Orlando, FL.
The team, comprising brokers Brad Peterson, Whitaker Leonhardt and Michael Brewster, works with institutional and private capital investors to facilitate retail investment sales transactions.
The team joins Colliers from JLL, where the professionals handled $750 million in transaction volume since January 1, 2021.
“The addition of this team is part of the continued evolution of Colliers’ expansion into the institutional retail owner space and our growth in Florida and further enhances our other services in retail including leasing, debt and financing, project and development management, as well as property management,” states Ryan Kratz, president of the Southeast and Mid-Central regions for US Brokerage at Colliers.

Peterson holds 20 years of commercial real estate experience and has been involved in the sale of more than 350 shopping centers and single-tenant investments, valuing a total of more than $5.5 billion. At JLL, Peterson previously led the firm’s Orlando capital markets group.
Leonhardt holds 15 years of industry experience and has been involved in more than $2.5 billion in sales and financing transactions. At JLL, Leonhardt served as the longtime senior director of capital markets in the firm’s Orlando office.
Brewster previously served as a net lease specialist at both HFF and JLL, where he focused on the sale, purchase and recapitalization of single-tenant net-leased assets in the US.
