Proptech Firm DoorLoop Adds Custom Websites for Users

Property managers and owners can create websites to showcase available listings.

While commercial real estate has an often-deserved reputation for being behind the times when it comes to technology, offer up props to marketing teams that have taken to the online listings and video walkthroughs the Internet has offered.

At DoorLoop, a proptech company that develops rental property management software, it all seems to have come full circle. The company announced a new custom websites feature to its offerings, as the press release noted.

“Landlords and property managers will now be able to design premium, custom websites to showcase available listings and manage the entire rental process all on their own site – and at a discounted price,” the company said. The product description makes clear that this is a template-driven hosted service that DoorLoop offers to create customizable websites, not fully custom ones.

“DoorLoop’s custom websites feature allows users to choose between 10 beautifully designed templates, customizing the text and images on five different web pages: Home, About Us, Properties, FAQs, and Contact,” the release says. “The feature provides a comprehensive package to users with all of the must-haves for creating and hosting a legitimate website.” In addition to the templates, the package includes a domain name; SSL security certificate that makes an encrypted link possible and that verifies the website’s identity; and hosting to run the website.

As the company’s website explains, it takes approximately five days from completing the form with text and images for DoorLoop to build the site. There is existing copy if a user wants to employ it or instead replace it.

It is also possible to make additional modifications. “While DoorLoop will not be able to customize the design or layout ourselves, you are able to change anything you like from adding more pages, customizing the design, adding Google Analytics, Cookie Notifications, custom HTML or Javascript, a blog, popups, widgets, and more,” the website explains. “You can even hire your own web designer or agency and give them access to the site. Please keep in mind, DoorLoop will not fix anything broken after we first publish the site so please be careful with changing anything yourself.”

Larger owners and operators likely already have websites, so something like this would have limited use, suggesting that the target audience is smaller companies or even mom-and-pop shops.

Sites created this way integrate into DoorLoop’s platform and so can link to a tenant portal and show vacant units.
