Scott Thurman has joined CBRE Capital Markets as Senior Managing Director and Head of Federal Housing Administration (FHA) Lending.
Thurman has more than 30 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry and specializes in the underwriting and origination of affordable and market rate transactions, involving multifamily and healthcare developments. He has overseen the underwriting of over $7 billion in FHA-insured loans during his career.
He will be responsible for overseeing CBRE's underwriting and loan production teams nationwide that originate, service and fund FHA-insured loans. CBRE has originated $3 billion in FHA loans in the U.S. over the past five years, including construction, permanent, acquisition and refinance loans for multifamily, healthcare and senior housing properties.

Thurman joins CBRE from Greystone, where he served as Head of Production for the firm's FHA Healthcare platform. He has previously held the positions of Chief Credit Officer and Chief Underwriter during a career that began at the U.S. Department of HUD.
