Construction Tech Firm Versatile Integrates With Procore Technologies

The crane-tracking software is available through Procore’s app marketplace.

Procore Technologies periodically directly adds new capabilities to its construction management software. However, its app marketplace offers a way to purchase and use software from compatible third-party software vendors.

Versatile, a company that has systems for construction site data collection and automation for cranes, announced that it has now integrated its capabilities with Procore’s marketplace.

“Construction teams have long grappled with the time-intensive task of manually recording daily installations,” Versatile said. “Through the integration of Versatile’s cutting-edge technology and Procore’s robust platform, this process has been streamlined, leading to greater automation and accuracy in data management.”

Versatile’s system requires proprietary hardware that is “crane-type, make, and ownership agnostic.”

There are two major features that Versatile brings. One is automated tracking. “By utilizing a multi-sensor, under-the-hook lifting accessory, Versatile captures real-time installation data as elements are placed. Employing artificial intelligence and machine learning, this information is translated into actionable insights, empowering users to make informed decisions swiftly.”

Automated data capture offers an important capability in any process-driven activity. The more that people have to capture the data, the greater a chance that they will put off the task, forget it, or make an error in data entry.

The system also transfers the data. “Once synced with Procore, Versatile facilitates a streamlined one-click transfer of daily piece counts and comprehensive crane usage reports with detailed breakdowns of subcontractor hours. This eliminates the need for manual data entry, helping reduce the likelihood of errors.”

Users can “update the number of installs with Versatile’s automatic tracking of the number of elements installed, saving you time and enhancing data precision.”

The system will “centralize crane usage reports with a detailed breakout of hours used by each subcontractor.”

“These reports will inform you of the daily piece counts, outliers like long installations, hook time breakdown between trades, automatically populate your actuals, with the ability to manage your schedule side-by-side, and much more.”

Use requires subscriptions to both Procore and Versatile.
