L&L Holding Bolsters Commercial Leasing Team in NYC

Tanya Grimaldo has joined L&L as Vice President of Leasing, and Giannina Brancato has been promoted to Assistant Vice President of Leasing.

NEW YORK CITY—L&L Holding Co. recently revealed that it has made two executive appointments to its commercial leasing team focused on its New York City portfolio. Tanya Grimaldo has joined L&L as Vice President of Leasing, and Giannina Brancato has been promoted to Assistant Vice President of Leasing.

These newly-appointed team members will work alongside Jonathan Tootell, who joined L&L in January, as Executive Vice President, to head leasing efforts across the firm’s entire eight million-square-foot portfolio of premier assets, including recently reinvented towers at 425 Park Avenue in the Plaza District and 390 Madison near Grand Central, landmark trophy properties such as 195 Broadway in Lower Manhattan and 114 Fifth Avenue in the Flatiron District, and The Wynwood Plaza, a one million-square-foot mixed-use campus in Miami.

According to a prepared release, in addition to their focus on L&L’s diversified existing New York City portfolio, the team will collaborate with L&L’s partners and in-place leasing teams for the ongoing redevelopment of Terminal Warehouse into a 1.3 million-square-foot wellness-focused, high-performance workplace and retail destination in West Chelsea.

“We are pleased to welcome Tanya to the L&L team and support Giannina’s continued ascent,” says L&L Holding President & Chief Investment Officer Robert Lapidus, in a prepared statement. “Their fresh perspectives and unique skill sets, which span the areas of commercial leasing, property management and tenant services, will further enhance L&L’s ability to attract and retain industry-leading companies to our portfolio of iconic office assets.”

L&L Holding Chairman and Chief Executive Officer David Levinson adds that, “We are confident that with Jonathan at the helm and our new leasing team in place, we have strengthened our capabilities and positioned our New York City assets for a successful future.”

Prior to joining L&L in March, Grimaldo spent nearly a decade at the Durst Organization, most recently serving as Associate Director of Commercial Leasing.  Grimaldo supported leasing for the firm’s West Side portfolio, including the renovation, repositioning and lease-up of 151 West 42nd Street and 1155 Avenue of the Americas.  Notable transactions during her tenure include headquarters relocations for the National Basketball Players Association and Nasdaq.

Grimaldo earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Fordham University and a Certificate of Real Estate Finance from CUNY Baruch College.  She is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York, Young Men’s & Women’s Real Estate Association and CREW NYC.

Brancato joined L&L in November 2021 as Portfolio Tenant Coordinator before being promoted to Assistant Property Manager.  In this role, she focused on managing tenant relations, budgeting and operations at 390 Madison, the 850,000-square-foot, redeveloped office tower.  Brancato began her career at SL Green, where she served as a portfolio administrator overseeing 12 buildings.

Brancato holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Maryland, College Park and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Real Estate Development at NYU.  She serves as the Chairperson of the non-profit organization Next Generation Industry Leaders and BOMA NY’s Emerging Leaders, and she is a member of CREW and REBNY.
