Jeff Day

Jeff Day has served as Chief Executive Officer of Berkeley Point Capital since inception in March 2012 and leads the firm’s Executive Committee. He served as CEO and Managing Director under the firm’s prior ownership since 2009. As CEO, his primary responsibilities are focused on development of corporate strategy, managing senior relationships with capital partners, attracting new sources of capital, credit policy and driving revenue by enhancing new and existing client relationships. Prior to becoming CEO, Jeff was Co-Head and Managing Director of the firm’s predecessor companies from 2006-2009 and Managing Partner-Western U.S. from 2002-2006. He joined the predecessor companies in 2001 as Head of Production-Western U.S. and was a member of the Office of the CEO, Executive Committee and a voting member of the Credit Committee. During his tenure at Berkeley Point’s predecessor firms, Jeff was also directly involved in various investment banking and trading activities, including capital raises, M & A, capital commitment facilities, TRUPS, loan syndication, CMBS, distressed debt, and whole loan and pool sales. Jeff is part of the multifamily thought leadership and currently serves key roles on industry boards and advisory councils including the Fannie Mae DUS CEO Advisory Council, NMHC Board of Directors, the MBA Origination Council and the Artemis Advisory Board. Jeff is a past chair of the CRE Finance Council’s Multifamily Forum and GSE Reform Task Force, as well as past member of its Board of Governors and Policy Committee. He is also a past board member and chair of Freddie Mac’s Advisory Council and the NAHB Multifamily Leadership Council. Jeff received a BA in Business, with a concentration in Finance, from the University of Colorado.
