SALEM, OR-The names of the companies and the extent of their plans are being held close to the vest at this time, but one would manufacture sports equipment in the Portland area and the other wants to produce printer components in Salem. Both would be built next year.

MINNEAPOLIS-The $2.7-billion expansion was to include a new north-south runway by 2010. The carrier that accounts for the majority of flights at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport is cutting 20% of its routes, however.

LONDON-Royal London Mutual Insurance has continued the process rebalancing its portfolio in the wake of its merger with Scottish Life. Three large distribution units in the Midlands and North-West are the latest to have been sold.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA-The locally-based company has sold the 27,603-sf facility to a company specializing in the installation and engineering of telecommunications equipment. The Inland Empire continues to attract industrial tenants, even in the face of a sluggish economy.

CAREFREE, AZ-Guardian Technologies' subsidiary Palo Verde has laid out $800,000 for 100 acres in Wyoming and five acres in Colorado. One is ticketed for two equestrian ranches and the other, retail and commercial projects. Guardian's homeport is Carefree.
