NEWPORT BEACH, CA—International building contractor BalfourBeatty Construction has signed a seven-year lease with BixbyLand Company to occupy 9,875 square feet at Avalon, theinnovative office building developed by Bixby at 1501 QuailSt.
In a GlobeSt. exclusive, Bixby says that Balfour Beatty likedthe creative buildout Bixby had designed for its own offices atAvalon enough that this became the space the new tenant chose tolease, furnishings included. Balfour Beatty is relocating from 2Park Place in Irvine, and will take occupancy early nextyear. Bixby will continue to operate its corporate headquarters atAvalon, relocating within the building to a suite of similarsize.
